Hello! It's Vanessa this week. This recent article in the Seattle Times really shines a light on not only what Karen will be talking about this week, but also how, depending on our needs in the moment, we can choose to change the concept and definition of "ok" in order to best serve us.

Ok might be choosing to meal prep now so that you can just microwave and eat later. Ok might be choosing to cook a family recipe for a weekend dinner that brings back taste memories from childhood. Ok might mean heating up chicken fingers because that's all your kid eats right now. Ok might mean eating cheese and crackers for dinner just because it's been a day.

All of this is Healthyish, as you'll discuss this week with Karen. I've spotlighted Good Enough (the cookbook mentioned in the article linked above) in the Stuff We Love section of the website this week because I've been using it lately as not only a cookbook but also as a reminder that there are lots of different ways to be ok - but they should always involve being kind to yourself and letting go of the idea that meals should only look one way according to what someone else might be telling you. It's all ok.
